Recent projects undertaken by
Attric include:
The complete rewiring of a
site control centre for a major oil & gas company, including:
- Specifying and installing cabling
for critical IT equipment, projectors, lighting and closed circuit
television system
- Designing cable routing systems
to comply with strict health and safety regulations
- Specifying and installing cabling
for highly sensitive fire / heat / flame detection systems
- Wiring up Manual Alarm Call (MAC)
points and designing an innovative signage system to highlight
their location.
Due to the nature of the site,
all the cabling installed by Attric was subject to rigorous testing
and independent verification. Compliance was achieved due to the
high standard of our work and quality procedures.
The decommissioning of an existing
oil & gas facility, including:
- Cleaning and preparation of the
facility prior to decommissioning. Including transportation
of hazardous materials in accordance with COSHH legislation
- Removal and safe disposal of power
generation units and air compressors
- Replacement of all old solid
pipework with brand new flange pipe
- Modification of all steelwork,
supports, and cable trays around shutdown valves to accommodate
new pipe jackets
- Safe decommissioning of all redundant
gas drying facilities, liquid storage facilities and glycol-regeneration
systems.
Other Cases:
Attric was responsible for the
decommissioning of the remote control centre at a North Sea gas
terminal. This involved the removal and safe disposal of asbestos
panelling, electrical control panels, and the actual bricks and
mortar of the control building itself. All these activities were
performed with strict adherence to the relevant COSHH, HSE, and
CAWR (Control of Asbestos at Work Regulations).
The management of design modifications
to a new gas terminal being built for a major international energy
supplier.
Conducting several safety audits,
environmental audits, and criticality assessments for a major
oil and gas company.
Performing a review of procedures
and ensuring that all lifting and hoisting activities conform
to the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations (LOLER)
regulations.
